Community Development Employment Projects (CDEPs) administered by ATSIC, provide job opportunities in community organisations across Australia. Wages paid with funds from the CDEPs must be tracked and recorded on a separate line on the employee Payment Summary. When the CDEP Funding option is selected, a CDEP pay rate will appear in the Employee Record – Pay Rates tab.
1 On the Employee record – Taxation tab select þ CDEP Funding. This will allow you to select a CDEP pay rate.
2 Click on the Pay Rates tab.
From the Pay Rates column, select CDEP Payment, and enter the payment details.
If the CDEP payment is a once-off single time payment, you can record the payment when you prepare the pay, through the Pay Details window.
3 When you issue Payment Summaries, CDEP amounts will be shown separately.
