Superannuation Export file format

Superannuation export creates three separate files:

1 The EFT file – Use this file, along with your Banking software to pay the superannuation funds directly from your bank account using electronic funds transfer (EFT).By default, the file will be named QPSuper.ABA, and will be saved in the C:\Program Files\Elite Payroll\Data folder.

2 The Employee information file – This file provides your Super fund with employee details. By default, the file will be saved in the C:\Program Files\Elite Payroll\Data folder.

3 The Super contribution information file – This file provides your Super fund with superannuation contribution details (see below). The file name will be based on your company name, and the pay date.

The information file names will be based on your company name, and the pay date.
For example, for a company named Company Pty Ltd, the employee information and contribution information files for the May 2003 superannuation details would be respectively named Company Pty Ltd (E) 052003.txt and Company Pty Ltd (P) 052003.txt.

Both of the information files are in comma delimited format, amounts are qualified with quotes ("). The format and the contents cannot be changed by the user.

The Employee information file

The Employee information file contains the employee's personal details. It contains the following information (working from left to right):

Employee Number

The employee's number within Elite Payroll.

The employee's title.

Mr., Mrs, Miss, Dr, Ms, Sir or Jnr.

The employee's first name.

 

The employee's middle initial.

 

The employee's surname.

 

The first line of the employee's address.

 

The second line of the employee's address.

 

The city of the employee's address.

 

The state of the employee's address.

 

The postcode for employee's address.

 

The employee's gender.

Male or Female.

The employee's member account number.

The employee's date of birth.

 

The date the employee joined the superannuation fund.

From the super tab in the employee record.

The employee's occupation.

This is derived from the name of the award the employee is on.

Category.

This field isn't used at present.

Effective category date change.

This field isn't used at present.

The date the employee was terminated.

This comes from the termination pay.

The employee's yearly (annual) salary.

This is derived from the Pay Rates tab of the employee record,

The effective yearly salary date change.

This field isn't used at present.

Joined when first eligible.

The date currently used is the date the employee joined the fund as these dates are normally the same.

At work on date joined.

The date currently used is the date the employee joined the fund as these dates are normally the same.

The employee's home phone number area code.

The Employees Tax File Number.

 

The Super contribution information file

The Super contribution information file contains the details of contributions made to superannuation funds. It contains the following information (working from left to right):

The name of the superannuation fund that the contribution is going to.

The amount of the contribution going to the superannuation fund.

The starting date of the period the contribution applies to.

From the period start date that the user types in.

The ending date of the period the contribution applies to.
