The Help Menu The best place to start is with the Elite Payroll Help Table of Contents. For a table of contents listing the topics covered by this on-window guide, see Help Contents or click on the Contents button at the top left hand side of this help window to display the Windows Contents window (see below).
To find out about the window you're working in, press F1 or click the Help button on the toolbar.
The Contents panel that opens has three tabs at the top: Contents, Index, and Find:
Contents Click this tab to look through the table of contents of everything in Elite Payroll Help. To open one of the book icons, double-click it. Keep opening books until you get a topic you want to read.
Index Click this tab to look up a term in the index. Start typing the term you're looking for. Double-click a term to open a topic related to it.
Find Click this tab to search for each instance of a word or phrase. This kind of search is more thorough, but it may give you topics that aren't as relevant as those you find from the Index tab.
If the topic goes beyond the bottom of the Help window, click the scroll bar at the right to read the rest of the topic. Text in green indicates that more information is available. Click the green text to display the information.
Some topics also contain diagrams you can click to get more information. When this is the case, click the part of the diagram you want to know more about.
To return to a topic you read during your current session with Help, click Back.
In the Help topic you want to print, click the Print button or the Options button and then click Print Topic.
You can also use your right mouse button to click inside the Help window and then click Print Topic.
You can print a group of related topics by clicking a book in the Help Contents and then clicking Print.
To print the Help in a pop-up window, use your right mouse button to click inside the pop-up window and then click Print Topic.
