Name Tab – To edit company name, trading name and address.The companies list displays the companies currently set up within Elite Payroll. When you select a company from the list, it doesn’t open the company file, but opens the Company Details window which you can use to edit company and superannuation fund details for that company.
1 From the Lists menu, choose Companies.
2 Select the company you want to edit details for and then click Companies>Edit. The Company Details window is displayed, allowing you to edit company details. Refer to the following for more information:
Name Tab – To edit company name, trading name and address.
Numbers Tab – To edit company phone and fax numbers, and Group and ACN/ABN numbers.
Banking Tab – To edit bank and account details.
Insurer Tab – To edit Workers Compensation Insurer details.
When you delete a company file, the company file and all of the data contained within the file are removed from the hard drive. You won't be able to restore the company file unless you have made a backup file to restore from, so it is crucial that you always make a backup file before you delete your company file.
You can delete the company file for any company other than the company currently open. Therefore, to delete one company, you must have a different company open; if you only have one company, you can open the sample company.
1 From the Lists menu, choose Companies.
2 Select the company that you wish to delete and then click Companies>Delete.
3 Click OK to confirm you really do want to delete the company from your hard drive.
4 You will be prompted to backup your company file. If you wish to access the company information at a later date, be sure to backup the file. Clicking cancel at this point will tell Elite Payroll that you don't want to back the file up and it will just delete it from your hard drive. If you click OK to backup the file, Elite Payroll will backup to your selected destination and then delete the company file.
