Pay details – Superannuation tab

The Superannuation tab displays the superannuation for this employee. These details come from the deduction details that you entered in the Employees List – Superannuation window. You can edit any superannuation for this pay through the Superannuation tab. If you want the details to be changed permanently, you must change them in the Employees List – Superannuation window.

To edit details, click on the detail and make changes. Note that you cannot edit a past pay unless the þ Edit Past Pays checkbox has been selected. You also cannot edit a past pay if you have been set up as a user without the rights to edit a past pay.

1 Type – Select the type of superannuation payment to be made.

2 Fund Name -Select the superannuation fund that the contribution will be made to. If the fund you want hasn't yet been set up, you can type in the name and then press TAB. When you are prompted, click Yes to add it to your Superannuation List. However, generally, superannuation funds should be set up in the Super List before you pay an employee.

3 Member A/C -Enter the employee's account or ID number for the superannuation fund you have selected.

4 Joined -Enter the date the employee joined the fund. This is usually the day they joined the company.

5 Amount -Enter the amount of superannuation to be paid to the fund.

$image\dash.gif$ If you are paying a fixed dollar amount, enter it here. Generally, most employers will use the dollar amount when they want to manually enter the superannuation.

$image\dash.gif$ If you are paying a percentage amount, enter it here. All employees are entitled to Employer SGC of 9%.

6 % $ – If the amount is a percentage, select (%). If the amount is a dollar value, select ($).

7 Amt Paid -Elite Payroll will calculate the amount of superannuation to be paid and enter the dollar value here.

8 To add a new line, click Insert, or Tab to a new line. Enter details as per the above.

9 To delete a line, select the line and then click Delete. Click OK to confirm that you actually want to delete the line.
