When you receive an error message such as Error Reading From Drive A: it is usually because the floppy disk itself has become damaged or corrupted. Other related messages are "Internal Error on line 1749" and Internal Error on line 1650, both of which mean that some loss of information has occurred. In this situation you have three choices:
1 Restore your company file from another backup disk.
2 Rename one of the automatic backup files.
3 Send your backup disk to Elite Payroll for data recovery. Technical support will first verify that the problem is a data recovery issue.
If you are running Elite Payroll from a network drive, you may find that you receive error messages because you don't have write access to the network drive. That is, you're unable to save any information to the Elite Payroll folder. If this is the case, you'll need to contact your Network Administrator to arrange for full access rights to the Elite Payroll folder.
