Why does leave accrue when I have specified that it shouldn't?

Leave will accrue for employees from the day that you employ them. Some employers don't allow leave to accrue until the employee has been with the company for a certain amount of time.

To make Elite Payroll start calculating leave after a certain period of time:

Make sure that you have specified when you want leave to start accruing. This is done in the employee's record.

Make sure that each employee has a Start Date. If an employee doesn't have a start date, Elite Payroll has no way of telling how long the employee has worked for the company.

Example If you have been paying a new employee for 5 weeks, and you set up the leave to begin to accrue after 3 weeks, Elite Payroll will look at the employee's start date and determine the employee is already over by 2 weeks and therefore, leave would start accruing immediately.
