What if my pay slips, Payment Summaries or reports are not printing correctly?

When you print pay slips or reports from Elite Payroll the information does not pass directly to your printer, instead it goes through a process that can take up to six steps.

Once the information leaves Elite Payroll, there are a number of places where a problem can occur. Most printing problems usually occur in MS-Windows, MS-Windows Print Manager or the Printer itself.

Usually a printing problem can be fixed by changing the printer driver for your printer to another driver that is compatible with the printer. You will need to refer to your printer manual to find out what printer drivers are compatible with your printer. To install a printer driver please refer to your MS-Windows manual.

Some inkjet printers, notably Epson, Canon and HP, include a large margin at the bottom of the page. This can cause problems with the last pay slip. To fix the problem you'll need to adjust the printer's margins so the bottom margin is as close to 0 mm as you can get. In some cases you'll need to update the printer driver before you can adjust the margins.

Note:  You should set up the Payment Summary so that it starts printing on the Payment Summary with a white line at the top.
