Employee Wizard – Year to Date details

On the Year-to-Date Details window you can enter the employee's payroll details part way through a financial year. If you have started using Elite Payroll part way through the year, you need to enter the employee’s year-to-date (YTD) figures. The YTD pay must be done during the pay period prior to when you intend to start paying employees with Elite Payroll.

The History section displays the current YTD figures in the Pay Totals, and a running total of the employee's pays on the right-hand side. The YTD figures will automatically roll over at the end of the financial yearwhich is why Elite Payroll doesn't provide any end of year procedures.

Important note You can only add one YTD pay amount per employee through the history section. If you want to enter previous pays individually, you must set up and process the previous pays through the Pays Summary window.

Adding a YTD pay:

Click Add to display the Add A Year-to-Date Pay window.

2 Complete the Enter Detail section:

image\bullet.gif Leave the Pay Periods at "1". If you change the number of pay periods, Elite Payroll will automatically place the employee on annual leave. This means that when you process all pays, the employee will be skipped.

image\bullet.gif Pay Date and Date Paid – Typically, these dates correspond to the last pay processed outside Elite Payroll. Noteyou can right click on the date fields to select the date.

Enter the year-to-date details:

Allowances tab

Hours Tab

Commission/Bonus tab

Super tab

Deductions tab

Sundry tab

When you have completed the above details, click OK. Note that you won't be able to save the details unless you have entered a Pay Date. The Edit Employee -History window displays the totals for the YTD pay that you have just entered.

Click in the Tax field on the right-hand side of the Total Paid section, and enter the year to date tax paid.

Click OK.

That's it! The Year to Date pay has been entered for the employee.

8 Click Next.
